Lovely photo of mom and daughter , when children are the main reason for taking photos , they must be guided with kindness and patience .

Children often supreme me with their natural response to being photographed those natural responses are often the best photos .

Young adults are always fun to photograph . This young lady needed photos for a portfolio as she was entering a beauty pageant .

These where taken in Mozambique over a few years what a lovely country to travel in the people are very special and their lives are not full of luxury's or comforts and yet I feel they live a life filled with family , friends and caring for each other.

Always ready with a smile and a greeting.

Spring time

Taking photos of flowers require a steady hand or a tripod if a tripod not available then use a small table .Even if you think there is no wind trust me that flower all ways seem to give a little shake. For a sharp subject and background that's slightly blurry use a small aperture 5,6 to 11 should do.

New Website Lauched February 2012

I am excited to have launched my new website with a gallery that invites you to experience what I capture through the lens of my camera. Take a look at Erika Whitby Photography.

With this develpment we also designed a new look for our Logo which you can see above. Now I am off to take lots of photos to fill my new gallery!

Photography brings one such joy .Right from the casual snap shot up to the more planned photos.

These are records and memories of a time in a family’s life.

It’s great fun for the children to see themselves in photos.

It’s in being adventures with photography that one learns the most.

I have been taking photos for people for 12years and it’s been a passion of mine since childhood.

Tip for Today

Ø Keep arms and elbows steady when clicking to prevent any shaking.

Ø To focus press your shutter button down halfway and your camera will focus for you .Take the shot by pressing button down completely.

Ø Keep an eye out for what is in the background of you photo.

Ø Move your subject or you move for a more flattering background.

Have wonderful time capturing your world.
